Japanese Bet knives require conscious use and careful maintenance. Washing should always be by hand, followed by immediate drying to protect the blade. The use of cutting boards made of wood or composite materials is recommended, and hard surfaces should be avoided. Storage on magnetic bar or with dedicated protection preserves sharpness. To maintain the edge, it is best to use suitable stones or specific tools, respecting geometries and sharpening angles.
